Please note that everything seems to be working fine otherwise. If not how do I fix it? Is there maybe a bug in the drivers I am getting from Gateway?
I have the same issue. Besides the BSOD, I’m really happy with the laptop though I’m thinking of returning it for d 3d or a stable but boring thinkpad brand. To get rid of the error message: From what I researched it seems to be an intel storage driver issue. D’s post on February 17, Message 6 of RickHoran Replied on April 24, Message 7 of I followed your advice and uninstalled, downloaded the drivers from Gateway, and reinstalled the Intel Management Engine Components and the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

In reply to fmve’s post on August 19, This thread is locked. I recently purchased a Gateway NVu brand new notebook. As the notebook is brand new, you can also contact the computer manufacturer for further assistance or for a replacement.

So I can confirm this is an issue with intel drivers most likely not cojnect. Lenovo Y turns on but has black screen. I’ve tested the new intel drivers on Windows XP Pro. MS please reply with a fix, not just a try. The ones from Lenovo have given me some problems in the past.
I also contacted Gateway technical support and they basically told me to do a recovery. The Intel “update” is still seevice April as was the software i uninstalled.
